Dr. Ahmed K. Al-Ani is a passionate professor, researcher, and cybersecurity professional with a Ph.D. in Internet Infrastructure Security. With over a decade of experience spanning higher education and industry, he specializes in networking, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS).At Humber Polytechnic, Dr. Ahmed plays a key role in shaping the next generation of cybersecurity professionals through innovative curriculum design and immersive, hands-on learning. His teaching philosophy emphasizes practical skill development, critical thinking, and bridging the gap between academic theory and real-world industry demands.He has taught and developed advanced courses at leading Canadian institutions, including Seneca, Centennial, and Georgian@ILAC colleges, as well as internationally at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM). His research has been published in top-tier journals and conferences (ISI/Scopus), with a focus on emerging areas such as AI-driven network security, IPv6 security, and cyber-physical systems protection.Beyond academia, Dr. Ahmed serves as the Vice President of Cybersecurity at C-SevenFifty Consulting & Training Inc., where he focuses on workforce development, professional training, and building strong cybersecurity capabilities for organizations in today’s rapidly evolving threat landscape.
